NAOSH Week May 7th -13th

The North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is a continent wide event spanning three countries Canada, USA and Mexico; that highlight to the public, government, and industry the importance of increasing understanding, raising awareness and reducing injuries and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community.

The goal of the North American Occupational Safety & Health (NAOSH) Week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, the general public and all partners in occupational safety and health on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community.

Thank You Volunteers!

Thank you to all the volunteers from the Chicago ASSE Chapters who attended the Northern Illinois Food Bank event on Thursday Dec. 1st.  In total we packed 8,815 lbs of carrots and apples, which will provide 7,345 meals for hungry neighbors in Northern Illinois!  Great job ASSE!

NEIL Members Visit Elementary School

Northeastern Illinois Chapter President Amy Timmerman and Chapter member Derek Mokersky made an appearance in the Twittersphere. Timmerman, EHS Manager, and Mokersky, EHS Specialist, at Sage Products meet with Mr. Ludwig’s 5th grade STEM class at South Elementary School in Crystal Lake, IL.     They educated the class on safety profession and the different tasks and roles they conduct throughout their work day.   The kids had a blast trying on the PPE and utilizing the Industrial Hygiene tools.
