Task Assessments/Work Permits – February Chapter Meeting

This presentation is about improving employee and contractor safety awareness through the use of Task Risk Assessments (TRAs) and Work Permits.  John will take the audience through the sequential phases of using TRAs and Work Permits and how they differ from Job Safety Analyses.  Examples will mostly be contractor focused.

John Hoekstra

John is the Tate & Lyle; Director, Global Safety – Americas.  He has 26 years in Safety, the last 20 years in the Food Manufacturing industry, including ConAgra Foods, Kellogg Company, and Tate & Lyle.  He has a bachelors of Science in Occupational Safety and a MBA with dual concentrations in Finance and Management. John is a member of the ASSE Northeastern IL Chapter and currently the President-Elect.
