Moneyball – January Chapter Meeting

  •  January 20, 2017
     11:30 am - 2:00 pm

In 2011, Brad Pitt stared in Moneyball which is based on a book by Michael Lewis, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game. Using a similar approach and a shared premise that we can leverage analytical tools to focus our limited resources to achieve the best outcomes with respect to worker safety and health, Vernon Iturralde will facilitate an interactive discussion on the use of analytics to maximize effectiveness in preventing the next injury at your facility. By re-evaluating the strategies that have been used to gauge safety performance and taking an honest-look at what works and what doesn’t, we will develop smart goals that use performance keys to deliver on our commitment to achieving zero accident cultures.

Vernon Iturralde has over 20 years experience in safety and loss control. He provides safety and loss control consulting services to commercial and captive insurance clients with operations in the industries of service, manufacturing and transportation. He also provides consulting to a large insurance pool of school districts. Services include evaluating, designing and implementing safety programs, performing loss analyses, conducting safety training seminars, developing and implementing hazard communication programs, and providing fleet services.
